Healthcare leaders described a different but equally consequential transformation. Early detection, clinical research, hospital automation, multimodal intelligence and personalized care could move medicine from reactive treatment toward prediction and prevention.
Both sectors demonstrate why generic AI strategies fail. High-impact deployments require deep domain expertise, trusted data, clear accountability and evidence that systems improve outcomes without creating unacceptable risk.
Florida is building a statewide platform
The summit connected a series of ecosystem initiatives: an AI council, education and workforce programs, recurring practitioner gatherings, sector accelerators and a statewide quantum ambition. Together, they represent a platform rather than a set of isolated projects.
Quantum computing also entered the discussion as a strategic capability linked to national security, science and industrial competitiveness. The immediate value may be less about broad commercial deployment than about building talent, software readiness, research partnerships and investment capacity before the market matures.
